PHP Developer - June 28th, 2006
Okay, show of hands out there - who else is tired of the boring old car analogies when it comes to talking about object-oriented programming in PHP? I have to admit; even I got a little sick of reading them after a bit. It seemed like there wasn’t much originality behind them, and several of them just assumed that you understood what “$this->car_name” was.
So, here we go with something a little bit different - hopefully it’ll turn out to be something useful for all of you developers out there trying to wade through the wide world of object-oriented programming with PHP.

The week of June 21st through the 28th was a rather quite week for PHP-GTK. There was actually a lot of chatter on the development mailing list but most of it didn’t lead to any news items.
Anyway, here are the headlines for this week:

PHP Developer - June 28th, 2006
The International PHP Conference has opened up their registration for this Fall’s conference today, starting with the Early Bird Specials.
This year’s event is happening from November 5th through the 8th at the NH Hotel in Frankfurt. During the two main days of the conference, a wide range of talks will be given, some for every level of developer. Some of the topics included this year are: “PHP & Business”, “PHP Design”, “PHP Extensions”, and “PHP Security”.
Early Bird prices start at 299 Euro (for just the Management Day) all the way up to 1069 Euro for the full package (Conference access and Power Workshop days). The Early Bird prices are only good up until September 29th, so be sure to get your registration in early.
